In pursuit of a missing white horse, a troubled writer stumbles upon a Zen monastery, where he meets an enigmatic monk who leads him on a journey of self-discovery and reality-bending revelation—unaware that the monk is, in fact, the very horse he lost.

“White Horse was born out of a winter when I found myself reflecting on how fast the world around me was changing — and how I was trying to find some kind of balance through Zen. Living in a city that never stops moving, I felt a lot like the protagonist, Johnny — always chasing after a mysterious “white horse,” until we both ran too fast and fell. The temple Johnny finds becomes his moment of peace, his awakening — a place that helps him slow down and let go.

We shot this project in Upstate New York during winter, which wasn’t easy at all. I’m so grateful for the monks at Baklimsa Temple who supported us throughout the process. Making this film was more than just a production — it felt like a personal reflection and a small spiritual cleanse for me. Right now, the film is in post-production.”
