“To me, Immortal Mind is a story about the fragility and persistence of human will—a poetic reflection on what remains truly “alive” when technology begins to redefine the boundaries of life, body, and consciousness.”

IMMORTAL MIND
In a future where brain–computer interface (BCI) surgery has become ubiquitous, humanity stands at a crossroads: to upload one’s consciousness to the cloud in pursuit of digital immortality, or to preserve the physical body within an archive, entrusting the mind to await future resurrection.
When creating Immortal Mind, Roku approached the project as more than a fashion film—it was an exploration of how cinematic storytelling could translate the designer’s conceptual world into emotional experience. As director, she focused on how to use camera language to subtly narrate the story behind the garments—how each frame could reveal the designer’s vision without words. She guided the models’ movements not as simple poses, but as emotional expressions—externalizing inner states through gestures, rhythm, and breath. Every shot became a conversation between body, light, and texture, transforming fashion into narrative and emotion into form.
Immortal Mind went on to achieve remarkable recognition internationally. In 2023, it was officially selected by the BAFTA-qualifying Bolton International Film Festival and received five international awards, while being featured in the programs of over ten global film festivals, including those in New York, Istanbul, Belgrade, and Florence.
