"The summer of 2025, Sofia and I went back to her hometown — Cape Girardeau, Missouri — to finish her short film Doomsday with her family and friends. We flew in cast and crew from New York, Los Angeles, and Canada — everyone came together for this project, and it felt so good to be part of that.
As a bisexual woman who grew up in a pretty conservative environment, I really connected with this story. The touch of dark humor just made everything even more special.
I’ll never forget how kind and supportive Sofia and her family were — Granny cooking dinner for us every night, her lovely garden, and the beautiful weather in Missouri. The sense of home I felt there truly healed me. That week will always stay with me as one of the warmest memories in my life."
